Short-term Companion

Spending an entire week isolated can be very lonely for some. I wasn't very desperate for human contact but I've found a temporary solution.

One of the most adorable, basket-sized creatures I've ever come across. He requires regular feeding and attention, but conversations flow pretty easily unlike the usual demanding ones that are required out of politeness. (also, he likes plates)

(I inwardly named him 'Toto' because he reminded me of that dog from Wizard of Oz.)

Temporary is a sad word, days have to end and dogs have to go back home to their respectable owners. So farewell, Toto.

Paper Towns

I've recently started to read 'Paper Towns' by John Green (because my life is incredibly eventful). I'm a slow reader because it feels like I've been sucked in a loop of sedated procrastination since the beginning of last year. I'm currently in page 64. (hence. 'slow reader') I'm in love with his writing.

I mean, I'm not entirely sure about the plot and the synopsis (at the back of the book) doesn't seem to give away much...

Hopefully it's a good book (and... you know, I get to finish it soon)

"Those of us who frequent the band room have long suspected that Becca maintains her lovely figure by eating nothing but the souls of kittens and dreams of impoverished children."-- Paper Towns (by John Green)

Losing.

"How do you feel?" She enquires, her steady voice is almost enough to blanket over the smug look on her face. My paranoid mind translates her simple enquiry to "How do you feel after we've just crushed and stomped over your hopes and dreams?"

I feel like I've received the most excruciatingly painful stab one can receive, the kind that isn't aimed towards any vital organs and is enough to let you live and feel everything. I feel like I've been hit by a giant double decker bus, the wheels rolling back and forth when the driver backed up again to check if he hit a deer or some sort of lone, wild animal.

"I feel fine."

The Sick Playlist

I use the "sick" term non-adjective-more-literally (not that literal).

When one is sick, a great quantity (sans dizzy, sneezy, sleeping) of time presents itself. Physical activities like rock climbing or bungee jumping are unfortunately unachievable. Thus, one resorts to reading books and listening to music.

And so, with so much more time left at hand I present...
